Missoula County Economic Recovery Task Force

The Missoula County Economic Recovery Task Force is a partnership of public and private for-profit and nonprofit entities working to ensure you recover and prosper in the future by understanding how you are affected economically, improving access to resources that provide immediate assistance, developing new resources, and identifying any remaining gaps in resources. 

Information on local, state and federal resources, including unemployment benefits, is updated regularly on the Missoula Economic Partnership website.

Unemployment assistance

The federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program has been extended March 13, 2021. More details are available at montanaworks.gov.

Health insurance

Missoula County residents who are recently unemployed or who have had their hours reduced may qualify for Medicaid. You can learn more and fill out an application on the state Department of Health and Human Services website. 

Certified application counselors at Partnership Health Center are available to help anyone with questions about Montana insurance coverage options. Counselors can help apply for Medicaid and answer any questions about the insurance marketplace. This service is available to anyone in Missoula and Mineral counties, including individuals who are not established PHC patients. Montana Legal Services Association

The Montana Legal Services Association is offering legal advice and help to those affected by COVID-19, including employment guidance, including a Know Your Rights and Resources webinar, "Unemployment Benefits and COVID-19."
