Vaccination Phases
The state of Montana is using the following phases to prioritize vaccine delivery to those most at risk of severe complications related to COVID-19.
Missoula County is currently in Phase 1b. Until vaccine supply increases, the Missoula City-County Board of Health has recommended tiers for Phase 1b to help providers prioritize vaccinating those most at risk. Those who can get vaccinated in tier 1 are listed in the graphic below. As these are recommendations, providers may choose to prioritize vaccinations in Phase 1b differently.
Note: This information is subject to change due to future vaccine distribution guidance, recommendations, FDA approval of vaccines and vaccine availability/allocation.
*Phase 1B qualifying health conditions: cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD, Down syndrome, heart conditions, immunocompromised from organ transplant, severe obesity (BMI 40 or higher), sickle cell disease, and Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
**Phase 1C qualifying health conditions: asthma (moderate to severe), cerebrovascular disease, cystic fibrosis, hypertension or high blood pressure, immunocompromised from blood or bone marrow transplant, immune deficiencies, HIV, use of corticosteroids or other immune-weakening medicines, neurological conditions (such as dementia), liver disease, overweight BMI (25 or higher), pulmonary fibrosis, thalassemia.
Current vaccine providers
Missoula County will have more than 25 providers that will be able to administer the COVID-19 vaccine. As vaccine supply increases and providers move through the phases, this page will be updated to reflect current options for residents to get vaccinated.
Those needing reasonable accommodations at vaccination sites should call 406-258-INFO (4636).
